The fourth friday four of 2024
Happy Friday (night)! I hope you are doing something fabulous, or maybe getting cozy and going to wind down soon. I am writing this in my jammies because today flew by, so let’s get into the four highlights from Tura Lura Co. this week.
First - TODAY WAS AMAZING! The first private party joined me in the new West Branch space for a sneak peek Candle Pour Bar, and it felt so good to host them in the studio! I am so grateful that people continue to reach out to host events together, and I love tailoring gatherings to people’s needs. If you want to talk more about setting up a private party, let’s connect!
Second - Do you have some music recommendations you want to share with me? I am updating my playlists for classes, and realized that my phone mostly is flooded with Trolls Movie Soundtrack (from the constant loop it’s on for my kiddos)! I was introduced to SZA this week by the college students I teach, and I want to add some more artists that you are listening to. Send me back your favs!
Third - The vibrant colors and textures from the dried floral coming into the studio are mind blowing. Looking at these stems, you wonder how mother nature can create such beauty from a little seed. I am gearing up for the Dried Floral Bar event at Galentine’s Day - Women in Business where every attendee will get to make a gift from the stem bar. Interested? Make sure to get your ticket!
Fourth - Setting up for today’s private party had me reflecting on the first candle class I hosted. The idea of starting creative classes had been brewing for a long time, and it took space for things to align. You can’t rush the process and you can’t control everything - that is something I continue to remind myself as I gear up for this next step. The thread through the last two years is my intention to create space for others based in connection and love. As the preparation occurs for the grand opening of the studio in a few weeks, I remind myself that how all this looks today may be wildly different 18 months from now. And how cool is that, knowing that things will continue to grow and change?
Sending you love and light, and hopefully a good night of rest.
