Instructions

  • Start by gathering all supplies and having a clean work space.

  • Using your kitchen scale, measure 325 grams of soy wax into a large microwavable glass bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes and use infrared thermometer to take temperature. Continue to microwave for 30 second intervals until wax is melted to 180 - 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Use oven mitts to remove hot glass from microwave. Allow to rest 5-7 minutes to allow temperature to come down.

  • Prepare the candle jar by placing the warning label sticker on the bottom. Use the wick sticker to attach the wick in the center.

  • Once temperature of wax has reduced to 160 degree Fahrenheit, pour 35g fragrance oil directly into wax and gently stir with spoon for 2 minutes.

  • Remove spoon and gently pour the mixed wax into the candle container. Re-center wick, set in popsicle stick, and allow to cure for at least an hour.

  • After candle sets, about an hour, trim the wick. Allow candle to cure at least 24 hours before burning.

  • Take notes on adjustments and changes for the future.
